Obtaining a Library Card ADULTS: The first library card is free with proof of current address and photo identification when you fill out a library card application. You are responsible for all items checked out on your card. If you lose your card, you may obtain a new one for $1.00. Your VALNet library card is good all VALNet libraries. CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS (ages 16 and under): Children five to sixteen years of age may obtain a library card. However they must have an application signed by a parent/guardian. They are responsible for all materials checked out on their card.
